WHAT MAKES ME SMILE?
Docraft Blog Prompt Day 10
My daily smiles come from many and varied places. Today is an interesting day to answer this question, because today is not one of my best days. I have good days and bad days and today is one of the worst........the up side of this is that today's blog will pull me out of the doldrums, which can only be a good thing. The first thing that made me smile today was this picture:
It made me smile because the kitten shows no fear of the big dog, and the big dog treats the kitten with the respect it would show to another animal or human. I love to see the unusual, because we can get too bogged down in our day to day life and miss the beauty and love that differences can bring about.
A real smile comes not just from the mouth, but the eyes too:
Here s a photo of people enjoying themselves at a St Andrews evening.......having a laugh, I don't know what I said to them but it worked:
It's all in their eyes, and you can't help smiling along with them, I think, because smiling is contagious.
When I see someone receive a card that I have made, and they break into a smile, then I smile too, because I know I have got it just as they wanted it.
And finally, I have to include a photo of Bess, which makes me smile. Nothing is too big for her:
She is just coming out of the shade and the sun caught her eye, and in that I see the twinkle of mischief........it's her stick and no-one else is getting it!!
A card I made, that makes me smile is this one:
I know it's a Christmas card, but it is one of the first stepper cards I made, and when family and friends saw it I got orders for similar ones........I smile, because I didn't think I was any good at card making, but obviously other people thought I was.
Have a great day today

If you enjoyed the Thomas Kinkade quote about JOY, I'm sure you'll enjoy reading Ann Voskamp's book "1000 Gifts". The Holy Experience link on the right hand side of my blog takes you to her blog. Hope you feel well enough to continue with the blog prompts.
DeleteJust love reading your blogs, and hope you feel a bit brighter tomorrow. I love the sound of childrens laughter because it's so natural ..so many little ones nowadays seem as if they have the weight of the world on their shoulders ..they grow up so quickly.
