Favourite Crafty THhngy

FAVOURITE CRAFTY TOOL OR THINGY.......

Docrafts Blog Prompt Day 13

Where do I start?  I love ALL things crafty....card, paper, pokey tools, scissors...score boards, glue, shiny stuff, glittery stuff......but my 2 (I know you said one but I have 2)..........favourites are the

Cuttlebug:

and the Grant Calibur (which I will save for a later date as I am still learning about all that it can do)!

So today,I will talk about my cuttlebug.

Here is the cuttlebug................this was my introduction to embossing and die cutting........how fabulous to know that I can be so creative by just turning a handle..........When I first used it I was reminded of my mother wringing clothes through a wringer...........imagine that!  What a memory to jump out at you when you least expect it.  But, instead of wet clothes coming out drier at the other end, I got beautiful embossed card using folders like the following:

And using such folders helped to produce these:

And finally

These were all embossed using the cuttlebug.   Here are a couple I made by using the dies to cut out shapes :

Everything on the second one was cut using dies and the cuttlebug.

I love my little green bug and it works very hard for me.  The other day the screw shot out of the handle and my friend and I decided it needed a rest!!!!  We did manage to put it back together again.  So, anyway I hope you like what I have written today.

Love and hugs

  5. I like my Cuttlebug too, though I also have a Spellbinders Wizard which I bought first as it is more versatile. Lovely cards you've made.

  6. Thank you Alice. I never knew about the wizard until after I bought my cuttlebug, but I now also have the grand calibur and love that as it takes A4 size card.

However, I am still practising with it.
